About this fabric

Woven in 85% polyester and 15% linen, this plain fabric has a dry, linen-led character with just enough body to hang neatly. The 325 cm width makes it especially practical for full-drop curtains, sheers with privacy, and wide window runs with fewer joins. In Flax, the colour reads as a softened taupe with beige undertones and a gentle grey cast, so it feels warm without becoming yellow. The fine weave visible in the swatch gives the surface a natural, lightly mottled texture rather than a flat solid finish. With no pattern repeat and no martindale rating noted, it is clearly positioned for curtaining rather than upholstery.

How to use it

Use Flax where you want a calm backdrop that still feels considered: it works beautifully with oak, chalky white, limestone and muted olive. Its restrained warmth makes it ideal for relaxed, layered schemes in living rooms and bedrooms.

A calm, tailored neutral that suits wide curtains and blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
