About this fabric

This plain fabric has a close, finely textured weave with the understated irregularity associated with linen, rather than a printed motif. The taupe colour sits on the cooler side of beige, with grey depth that becomes more pronounced in the shaded areas of the swatch. Approximately 137cm wide, it is suitable for curtains and fixed upholstery to a General Domestic grade. Made from 100% linen, it requires allowance for 3% shrinkage and can be delicately washed at 30C or dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use Elba Taupe for relaxed curtains in a softly tonal room, or upholster a domestic armchair where its greyed mushroom tone can sit comfortably with chalk, stone and charcoal. The fine linen texture adds quiet definition without introducing a strong pattern.
