Danube Sackcloth Sackcloth Linen Weaves

Danube Fabric

Danube Sackcloth has a muted olive-taupe tone with a gently weathered appearance. Its close woven surface catches the light across the folds, shifting from soft khaki-grey to deeper mossy taupe.

About this fabric

The swatch shows a fine, even weave with a subtly nubby surface rather than a printed motif. Its olive and taupe threads create a softened, sackcloth-like depth, while the raised folds pick up pale highlights. The colour remains restrained and earthy, with a cooler grey cast in shadow and warmer khaki notes where the light lands. This mid-weight-looking cloth is visually versatile for upholstery, cushions and softly structured drapery.

How to use it

Use the muted olive-taupe shade to temper pale timber, chalky walls and warm neutrals, or pair it with deeper olive and aged bronze for a more grounded scheme. Its relaxed texture is particularly suited to occasional chairs, headboards and full-length curtains.

A softly weathered olive-taupe weave that brings natural depth to upholstery, cushions or relaxed window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
