Danube Plain Spice

Danube Fabric

Danube Plain Spice is a warm, coppery terracotta linen with a softly irregular plain weave. Across the swatch, lighter and deeper bands appear as the fine threads catch the light, giving this unpatterned colourway quiet depth.

About this fabric

Made from 100% linen and approximately 137cm wide, Danube Plain Spice is supplied for curtains and is finished with dry-clean care. Its spice, terracotta-orange tone sits between burnt copper and cinnamon, with a warm glow along the raised areas of the weave and deeper russet shading in the folds. The close crosshatched surface remains understated, allowing the colour variation created by the cloth itself to provide the visual interest.

How to use it

Use Danube Plain Spice as full-length curtains where its warm terracotta tone can bring coppery depth to a room with chalky neutrals, natural timber or dark brown accents. The fine linen texture will read softly rather than glossy, especially in gently filtered daylight.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
