Danube Stripe Cornflower

Danube Fabric

Danube Stripe Cornflower brings a cool, washed-blue rhythm to a pale linen ground. Its narrow, gently undulating stripes catch the light differently across the softly draped surface, giving the design a relaxed sense of movement.

About this fabric

Made from 100% linen and approximately 137cm wide, Danube Stripe Cornflower is supplied for curtains and is dry clean only. The image shows a fine, natural-looking weave in a pale stone or ivory tone, crossed by irregular vertical bands of muted cornflower blue. The stripes vary subtly in width and edge, while the folds create deeper blue-grey accents and brighter highlights across the cloth. This light, fluid appearance is well suited to full-length window treatments rather than hard-wearing upholstery.

How to use it

Use it for relaxed full-length curtains in a room with chalky walls, pale oak and soft grey upholstery. The cool cornflower stripes can be picked out with faded blue or lilac accents without making the scheme feel overly saturated.

A cool, airy linen stripe for curtains, pairing especially well with chalky neutrals and pale timber.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Danube Stripe Cornflower without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
