About this fabric

The close-up reveals a finely woven plain linen in a rich ginger-brown shade, with lighter caramel highlights across the raised folds and deeper terracotta shadows beneath them. Made from 100% linen, it is approximately 137cm wide and specified for curtains and fixed upholstery at General Domestic grade. The natural weave gives the solid colour subtle surface variation rather than a printed pattern. Care is by delicate wash at 30C or dry clean, with 3% shrinkage to be allowed for.

How to use it

Pair Elba Ginger with warm cream, tobacco and aged timber for an earthy scheme, or use it against chalky plaster and pale stone to make its terracotta depth stand out. It is suited to softly gathered curtains as well as fixed seating where a relaxed linen finish is wanted.

Use this warm ginger linen to bring softly rustic colour to curtains, dining seats or fixed upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
