About this fabric

The ground reads as a balanced mushroom shade, sitting between warm grey and subdued brown, while tiny lighter and darker yarns create a softly granular finish. Its close woven texture catches the light in small points rather than presenting as a flat solid. At approximately 137cm wide, Orta is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades. The composition is 43% linen, 51% viscose and 6% polyester, and care is by dry cleaning.

How to use it

Pair the mushroom taupe with chalky creams, weathered oak and muted olive for a calm, layered scheme. Its restrained brown-grey depth also works well on a tailored chair or full-length curtain where the woven texture can be seen at close range.

Use this softly mottled mushroom tone to bring quiet warmth and tactile depth to upholstery or curtains.
