Orta Charcoal is a deep, cool grey plain weave with a closely packed, tactile surface. Fine light and dark fibres mingle across the face, giving the shade a softly flecked depth rather than a flat black appearance.

About this fabric

The dense woven texture combines charcoal, graphite and subtle pale-grey threads, creating a muted, dimensional surface that reads darker in shadow and gently lifts where the light catches the weave. Composed of 43% linen, 51% viscose and 6% polyester, it has the visual character of a natural-fibre textile with a softly irregular grain. At approximately 137cm wide, Orta Charcoal is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery and is graded for Contract and General Domestic use. After-care is dry clean only.

How to use it

Pair this cool charcoal grey with pale stone, chalky grey or weathered timber to keep a room tonal and contemporary. It also gives patterned cushions or warmer leather upholstery a strong, quiet backdrop.
