About this fabric

Woven from 100% Pure New Wool, Foss Smoke is a 137cm-wide fabric specified for curtains and fixed upholstery. Its dark neutral ground shifts between cool grey and earthy olive-taupe, giving the herringbone a subdued, dimensional depth rather than a flat charcoal appearance. The compact weave and visible chevron rhythm give it a smart, tailored character suited to General Domestic upholstery. After-care is dry clean only.

How to use it

Pair Foss Smoke with warm timber, aged leather and chalky neutrals to draw out its olive-grey undertone. On a sofa or occasional chair, its fine herringbone adds texture without introducing a strong contrast; at the window, it gives curtains a composed, softly rustic finish.

Use this muted smoky wool to bring understated depth to tailored upholstery or softly structured curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
