Foss Midnight

Balvenie FabricLF2358FR

Foss Midnight is a densely woven herringbone with a deep midnight blue ground and finely interlaced grey, taupe and muted olive threads. Its close diagonal texture gives the surface a subtly flecked, tailored character rather than a flat plain finish.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% Pure New Wool, Foss Midnight has the visual depth of a compact herringbone: tiny opposing diagonals shift between blue-grey, charcoal and warmer neutral flecks as the light moves across the swatch. The dark blue tone feels cool and atmospheric, while the mixed yarns prevent it from reading as a solid blackened navy. At approximately 137cm wide, it is suitable for curtains and general domestic fixed upholstery. After-care is dry clean, and the fabric is also listed for loose cover upholstery.

How to use it

Use Foss Midnight to give a chair, sofa or headboard a quietly tailored finish, pairing its cool blue-grey depth with pale stone, warm timber and brushed metal. In curtains, the fine herringbone can add texture without introducing a bold repeating motif.

A densely woven midnight herringbone that brings tailored texture to upholstery and softly structured curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
