Vara Bluestone is a softly textured plain weave with a cool blue-grey ground, subtly lifted by fine green, cream and lilac-toned threads. Its gently mottled surface gives the colour a quiet, layered appearance rather than a flat block of blue.

About this fabric

This 137cm-wide Linwood fabric is woven for fixed upholstery, with the close-up showing a fine, compact texture and understated horizontal and vertical variation. Bluestone reads as a muted blue-grey, softened by pale mineral and sage-like flecks that catch across the surface. The composition is 17% viscose, 23% recycled polyester, 44% acrylic, 7% linen and 9% polyester. It is graded for Contract and General Domestic use and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Pair Bluestone with chalky whites, soft taupes and weathered timber for a calm, cool scheme. Its restrained blue-grey depth suits sofas, dining chairs and occasional seating where a plain weave with visible texture is preferred.

Use this cool blue-grey weave to bring subtle colour and tactile depth to upholstered seating.
