Vara Lime

Vara Fabric

Vara Lime is a softly mottled lime-green upholstery fabric with a visible woven crosshatch. Fine pale threads break through the olive-leaning ground, giving the surface gentle depth rather than a flat colour.

About this fabric

This plain weave combines 17% viscose, 23% recycled polyester, 44% acrylic, 7% linen and 9% polyester. The 137cm-wide cloth has a close, tactile texture, with subtle horizontal and vertical irregularities catching the light across its muted green surface. Its lime tone is fresh but softened by olive and natural-looking flecks, making it more nuanced than a bright, saturated green. Vara is supplied for Fixed Upholstery and is graded for Contract and General Domestic use; after-care is Dry Clean.

How to use it

Pair Vara Lime with warm timber, natural linen and sandy neutrals to draw out its earthy olive undertone, or use it as a fresh accent on a contemporary chair or sofa.

Use this softly textured lime weave to bring a fresh, earthy lift to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
