Balvenie FabricLF2357FR

Tay Ochre is a warm, mellow ochre-gold plain weave with a softly mottled surface. Fine pale and darker fibres move through the ground, giving the colour gentle depth rather than a flat mustard finish.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% Pure New Wool, Balvenie Tay Ochre is approximately 137cm wide and specified for curtains and fixed upholstery. The close, fine weave has a subtly nubby grain, with small tonal variations that catch the light across the surface. Its golden ochre tone sits between muted yellow and earthy bronze, bringing warmth without the brightness of a saturated yellow. It is graded for General Domestic use and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use Tay Ochre to warm a naturally lit sitting room, either as softly textured curtains or on a fixed armchair where its earthy gold tone can anchor creams, timber and muted greens. Its restrained tonal variation also works well alongside woven neutrals and aged brass.

The warm ochre-gold tone and subtly flecked wool weave bring gentle depth to curtains, chairs and fixed upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
