Tay Russet

Balvenie FabricLF2357FR

Tay Russet has a warm, earthy russet tone, with red-brown and terracotta threads giving the surface a softly mottled depth. Its fine woven texture reads as a restrained plain or semi-plain from a distance, while the close view reveals subtle diagonal movement.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% Pure New Wool, Tay Russet is approximately 137cm wide and specified for curtains and fixed upholstery. The dense surface combines warm russet, muted terracotta and darker red-brown flecks, creating a rich colour that changes gently as the light moves across the weave. A fine, subtly diagonal texture adds interest without introducing a separate motif or strong repeat. It is graded for General Domestic upholstery and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use Tay Russet to give a reading chair, sofa or banquette a warm, grounded finish, pairing its red-brown depth with natural wood, aged brass and calm oatmeal neutrals. As a curtain fabric, it can add softly enveloping colour without the visual busyness of a patterned cloth.

A warm russet wool weave that brings grounded colour to upholstered seating and softly tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
