Tay Indigo

Balvenie FabricLF2357FR

Tay Indigo is a cool, muted blue woven with fine grey and warm oat-coloured flecks that give the surface a softly weathered depth. Its close, tactile texture keeps the plain design visually engaging without introducing a formal motif.

About this fabric

Made from 100% Pure New Wool, this 137cm-wide Balvenie fabric has a dense, finely textured weave suited to both curtains and fixed upholstery. The indigo ground reads as softened blue-grey rather than bright navy, with tiny contrasting fibres creating a restrained, heathered effect across the surface. It is graded for General Domestic upholstery and is finished with a dry-clean after-care recommendation.

How to use it

Use Tay Indigo to bring a cool, grounded note to a reading chair, sofa or full-length curtain, pairing it with warm timber, oatmeal upholstery and aged brass to draw out the subtle brown flecks in the weave.

A cool, quietly variegated indigo wool with enough visual texture to complement both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
