Tay Delft

Balvenie FabricLF2357FR

Tay Delft has a softly mottled blue-teal appearance, with pale lilac, grey and warm neutral threads blending through its closely woven surface. The subtle colour variation gives this plain fabric gentle depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% Pure New Wool, Tay Delft is a 137cm-wide fabric specified for curtains and fixed upholstery. Its compact weave appears in a cool, muted blue-teal, with fine pale threads and warmer beige-grey flecks creating a lightly heathered finish. The small-scale interlacing catches the light unevenly, giving the surface a tactile, softly textured character while remaining visually restrained. It is graded for General Domestic upholstery and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Pair Tay Delft with chalky whites, pale oak and brushed metal for a cool, quietly coastal scheme, or use its lilac and beige undertones to soften a blue room. Its 137cm width suits full-length curtains as well as tailored fixed upholstery.

Use the cool blue-teal ground to bring a softly layered, natural feel to curtains, sofas or occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
