About this fabric

This Balvenie colourway is a plain or semi-plain woven textile, visibly mottled with fine blue, purple, grey and muted earthy threads rather than appearing as a completely flat navy. Its compact surface has a lightly napped, woolly character, giving the midnight shade depth as the light moves across the weave. Made from 100% Pure New Wool and approximately 137cm wide, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery. The fabric is graded for General Domestic use and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Pair Tay Midnight with pale timber, chalky neutrals or warm brass to balance its cool blue-purple depth. On a chair or sofa it gives a tailored, quietly colourful finish; as curtains, its dark woven tone will frame a room with gentle visual weight.

Use the cool, deep blue-purple tone to bring tailored depth to upholstery or softly gathered curtains.
