About this fabric

Pivot Inca is formed from repeating stepped, interlocking marks that travel diagonally across the fabric in a small-scale rhythm. The dark charcoal-blue ground is enlivened by flecks of warm oat and pale ivory, giving the colourway depth without making it feel bright or high-contrast. Its dense, nubby woven texture catches the light unevenly, so the surface reads more tactile and nuanced than a flat plain. At approximately 137cm wide, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery. The composition is 21% linen, 29% cotton, 45% viscose and 5% polyester; it is upholstery grade Contract and General Domestic, with dry-clean after-care.

How to use it

Use Pivot Inca on a tailored chair, banquette or fixed seat where its charcoal-blue and oat pattern can ground lighter timber and warm neutral walls. It also works as a full curtain fabric when a room needs a softly textured dark neutral rather than a solid grey.

Use this dark, softly contrasting geometric weave to bring texture and definition to upholstery or full-length curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Pivot Inca without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
