Orta Ember

Orta Fabric

Orta Ember has a warm, earthy red-brown tone with the softly variegated appearance of a closely woven textile. Its small-scale slub and flecking give the plain surface depth rather than a flat, uniform colour.

About this fabric

This Orta colourway reads as a muted ember red, with russet, brown and subtle darker threads visible across the compact weave. The textured surface catches the light unevenly, creating gentle tonal variation that makes the shade feel settled and approachable. Composed of 43% linen, 51% viscose and 6% polyester, it is supplied at approximately 137cm wide. The fabric is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades, and should be dry cleaned.

How to use it

Pair the warm ember-red tone with aged timber, tobacco leather and soft neutral upholstery for a grounded scheme. Used as curtains, its russet depth can add warmth without the brightness of a clear scarlet.

Use this warm ember-red woven cloth to bring grounded colour and tactile depth to upholstery or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
