Kala Rosewood

Bibi Fabric

Kala Rosewood pairs a muted rosewood-red ground with cream, charcoal and fine blue-grey detailing. Repeating outlined medallions bring a richly patterned, distinctly geometric character to the linen.

About this fabric

The design is built from repeated ogee and quatrefoil medallions, each filled with delicate floral marks, small red botanical forms and a central cream-and-red motif. Against the warm rosewood-red ground, the cream areas keep the pattern light while the dark outlines give each medallion definition. This fabric is 100% linen, approximately 137cm wide, and allows 3% shrinkage. It is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery at General Domestic grade, with delicate washing at 30°C or dry cleaning advised.

How to use it

Use Kala Rosewood where a room needs warm, graphic pattern: it suits full-length curtains in a cream scheme or a carefully chosen fixed-upholstery piece alongside charcoal and natural wood.

Use the warm rosewood and cream palette to bring graphic definition to curtains or fixed upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
