Ashfield Carnelian
Ashfield FabricLF1630
Ashfield Carnelian has a warm, muted carnelian-red ground with a densely repeated trellis of small rosette-like motifs. The pale ground showing between the red marks keeps this intricate linen design light rather than heavy.

About this fabric
This small-scale print combines coral-carnelian red with a soft ivory ground in a tightly ordered lattice pattern. Woven in 100% linen, it has the natural, lightly textured character expected of the fibre and is approximately 137cm wide. The specification lists it for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic grades, making it suitable for both tailored window treatments and selected seating applications. Allow 3% shrinkage, and follow the listed delicate 30°C wash or dry-cleaning care guidance.
How to use it
Use Ashfield Carnelian on a window seat, occasional chair or relaxed curtain where its warm red geometry can energise an ivory, putty or timber-led room. Pair it with plain natural linen and understated rust, blush or clay accents to draw out the colourway’s softened warmth.
Use the warm carnelian lattice as a refined accent against ivory, taupe or natural timber.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ashfield Carnelian without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
