Cape Mohair Lunar

Cape Mohair Fabric

Cape Mohair Lunar is a softly muted taupe with a subtle mohair sheen and a smooth, even surface. Its low-key warmth reads calm and tailored rather than stark, giving it an understated depth in the light.

About this fabric

Woven in 50% Mohair and 50% Acrylic, this plain fabric has the plush, refined look of a mohair blend while remaining practical for upholstery. The 140 cm width and 80,000 Martindale rub test confirm it as a hard-wearing choice for seating and other demanding interior pieces. In this colourway, Lunar appears as a soft stone taupe with a gentle grey-beige cast, and the pile-like surface catches the light in a fine, velvety way. The result is a restrained neutral that feels cleaner and cooler than a warm beige, yet still softer than a true grey.

How to use it

Use Lunar on tailored sofas, bench seating or accent chairs where you want a calm, sophisticated neutral. It pairs especially well with oak, dark bronze and textured linens, letting the fabric’s soft sheen add quiet contrast.

A quiet neutral that suits tailored seating and lets shape and texture do the talking.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
