Calais Fabric

Calais Fog shows a softly muted taupe surface with a cool, misted cast. The plain weave reads clean and understated, with a fine texture that keeps the colour looking airy rather than flat.

About this fabric

This colourway has a pale fog-grey taupe tone, with a gentle warmth underneath and just enough contrast in the weave to give it texture up close. It is supplied as a curtaining fabric in 52% recycled polyester and 48% polyester, with a generous 300 cm width and a plain pattern repeat. The cloth feels visually light and quietly tailored, making the shade easy to use in a room without drawing too much attention to itself. With no rub test noted, it is best presented as a drapery cloth rather than an upholstery option.

How to use it

Use Calais Fog for full-height curtains, sheers behind blinds, or wide drops that need a calm, expansive look. Its cool taupe tone pairs neatly with pale oak, chalk white, and other softened neutrals.

A calm, neutral ground that works beautifully in layered, understated interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
