About this fabric
This colourway shows a very dark indigo tone that sits close to navy, with a cool cast and a slightly softened surface in the weave. The plain construction lets the fine grid of the cloth come through, giving the fabric a clean, tailored feel rather than a glossy one. It is specified for curtaining and comes in a generous 300 cm width, making it well suited to wide drops and calm, unbroken window dressings. The composition is 52% recycled polyester and 48% polyester, so the cloth has a practical synthetic makeup while keeping its neat, controlled appearance. With no pattern repeat and no Martindale rub test noted, this is a straightforward, made-for-curtains textile focused on colour and texture.
How to use it
Use Calais Indigo where you want the windows to feel anchored and quietly formal, especially against pale plaster, stone, or warm timber. Its dark blue depth also pairs well with brushed brass, chalky neutrals, and other muted navy accents.
