Calais Fabric

Calais Ocean is shown here as a quietly textured plain weave in a cool slate-blue tone. The surface has a fine, even grid that softens the colour and gives it a calm, contemporary feel.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a muted ocean blue with a grey cast, so it feels cooler and more restrained than a bright navy or teal. The close plain weave is visible across the surface, creating a crisp, linen-like texture without any pattern repeat. Made from 52% Recycled Polyester and 48% Polyester, this 300 cm-wide fabric is specified for curtaining and has no Martindale rub test noted. The broad width is especially useful for wide drops and cleaner curtain making, while the tonal weave helps the fabric hold a soft, tailored look.

How to use it

Use Calais Ocean for floor-length curtains or wave headings where its cool blue-grey tone can settle a room. It pairs neatly with pale timber, chalk white walls, and brushed metal finishes.

A cool blue plain weave that brings a calm, understated finish to long curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
