Calais Oyster

Calais Fabric

Calais Oyster is a quietly textured plain with a soft oyster-beige cast and a calm, even surface. In this colourway, the weave reads light and breathable rather than stark, giving it an easy, understated look.

About this fabric

Woven in 52% Recycled Polyester and 48% Polyester, Calais is specified for curtaining and comes in a generous 300 cm width, ideal for wide drops and minimal seams. The swatch shows a fine, compact plain weave with a dry, linen-like texture that keeps the surface from looking flat. Oyster is rendered as a warm beige with a pale grey undertone, so it feels softer and more muted than a bright cream. The overall effect is light and airy, with just enough texture to add depth without drawing attention away from the room.

How to use it

Use this soft oyster tone for full-length curtains, sheers with lining, or wave headings where a calm, tailored finish is wanted. It sits especially well beside chalky whites, natural oak, and stone-coloured upholstery.

A calm, tonal neutral that softens daylight and layers easily with warm wood or painted finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
