About this fabric

This colourway shows a gentle beige base with a faintly melange character, so the surface feels relaxed rather than flat. The close weave gives it a dry, linen-like appearance in the image, which suits the fabric’s intended use for curtaining. Made in 52% Recycled Polyester and 48% Polyester, it offers a practical composition with a wide 300 cm width for generous window dressing. With a plain repeat and no Martindale rub test noted, it is presented here as a curtain fabric rather than an upholstery cloth. The overall effect is soft, warm and easy to coordinate, especially where a natural neutral is wanted without looking stark.

How to use it

Use Calais Flax for full-length curtains, sheers or layered drapes where a warm beige neutral will soften daylight. It pairs well with oak, plaster pinks and chalky whites for a calm, textural scheme.

A calm natural neutral that layers easily with timber, linen and warm whites.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
