Ria Red

Sansa FabricJ0058-05

Ria Red shows a tightly worked small geometric pattern in warm red on a pale ground, giving the swatch a crisp, orderly feel. The colour reads as a brick-toned red rather than a bright scarlet, so it has depth without looking heavy.

About this fabric

This Sansa fabric by Jane Churchill is composed of 45% Cotton, 44% Viscose and 11% Linen, with an approximate width of 140cm and a repeat of V 3cm / H 2cm. The weave appears neat and lightly textured, with the red pattern sitting clearly against the softer neutral background. In this colourway, the red is warm and slightly muted, which softens the geometry and makes the overall effect feel more refined than bold. The compact repeat gives the design a regular, almost mosaic-like rhythm that will read clearly on smaller upholstery pieces as well as flowing window treatments. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Ria Red where you want a smart accent with warmth, such as a pair of dining chairs, a desk chair or roman blinds. Its brick-red tone sits comfortably with oak, linen neutrals and deeper terracotta finishes.

A crisp small-scale weave that brings a tailored lift to upholstery and curtains alike.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ria Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
