Tadorna Red

Rivera FabricJ0206-02

Tadorna Red brings a dense botanical trail to a deep rust-red ground, with the leaf shapes picked out in soft teal, ochre, ivory and darker berry tones. The overall effect is warm and richly patterned rather than bright, so the design feels anchored and textured.

About this fabric

This Jane Churchill fabric from the Rivera collection is woven in a 39% cotton, 31% linen, 20% viscose and 10% polyester blend, giving the cloth a natural-looking body with a slightly refined finish. The repeat measures approximately V 39cm and H 66cm, which supports the flowing, all-over vine pattern seen across the surface. In this colourway, the red ground reads as a burnished terracotta-rust rather than a clear primary red, while the small leaves introduce cool teal flecks and muted ochres that stop the design feeling flat. At approximately 132cm wide, it is a useful width for curtains, blinds or upholstered pieces where the medium-scale motif can be shown clearly. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Tadorna Red to warm up upholstered chairs, a bench or statement drapery, especially in rooms with timber, aged brass or deep green accents. The rust ground and tiny cool highlights also work well with ochre, walnut and muted cream walls.

A warm rust-red ground with lively multicoloured leaves, ideal where you want pattern without losing sophistication.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
