Gilda Red/Copper

Peli FabricJ0028-03

Gilda Red/Copper brings a lively, vertically striated abstract pattern in warm red and copper tones over a natural ground. The effect is textured and energetic, with the deeper red lines giving the swatch a strong sense of movement.

About this fabric

This Jane Churchill Peli fabric is woven in 53% Polyester, 34% Viscose and 13% Cotton, with an approximate width of 144cm and a vertical repeat of 47cm and horizontal repeat of 36cm. The surface reads as a finely ribbed ground with bold, painterly red strokes that reveal warm copper and terracotta notes as the light catches the weave. The overall impression is warm rather than bright, with enough contrast between the red motif and pale base to keep the design crisp. Its medium-to-strong presence and textile body make it a versatile choice for seating or window dressings where pattern movement is wanted.

How to use it

Pair it with aged brass, walnut and muted neutrals to let the red-copper striations remain the focal point. It also works well with sandy creams and tobacco tones for a layered, warm scheme.

Use for statement upholstery or relaxed curtains where you want a rich, textured red with movement.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
