About this fabric

Plato Charcoal from Jane Churchill’s Rousseau - Atmosphere VIII collection is a fabric with a 128cm approx width and a V 16cm / H 16cm approx repeat. The cloth is made in 87% viscose, 7% polyester and 6% silk, which helps explain the soft sheen and the way the motif sits crisply on the surface. In this colourway, the charcoal ground reads cool and depthy, while the repeated pale leaf forms carry a subtle silvered tone with a warm rust centre. The effect is tailored and decorative rather than loud, with enough contrast to keep the pattern visible from a distance. The √BM fire code and textile composition make it suitable for considered interior schemes where a refined finish matters.

How to use it

Use Plato Charcoal on a statement chair, sofa cushions or a window seat where the dark ground can anchor the room. It works especially well with limestone, ink blue or weathered bronze finishes, which pick up the cool charcoal and warm motif accents.
