Rousseau - Atmosphere VIII FabricJ0170-04

Lila Multi shows a charcoal grey ground threaded with delicate, trailing stems and tiny leaves in a lively mix of colour. The result is airy and botanical, with the pattern reading light against the darker base.

About this fabric

This Jane Churchill fabric from the Rousseau - Atmosphere VIII collection is a decorative textile with a soft, natural handle suggested by its 36% viscose, 30% cotton, 26% linen and 8% polyester composition. The swatch shows a deep charcoal-grey background with slender, wandering stems and scattered leaves in teal, coral, blush, gold and pale stone tones. The overall effect is lively but not brash, with the multi-coloured motif sitting lightly on the darker ground rather than flooding it. At 129cm wide and with a repeat of V 77cm (half drop) / H 86cm approx, it is well suited to statement interiors where the pattern can run uninterrupted across larger pieces.

How to use it

Use Lila Multi on a clean-lined chair, bench or accent cushions to bring movement to a dark or neutral scheme. Its cool charcoal base and scattered colour make it especially effective against oak, blackened metal or soft grey walls.

Layer with plain linens or velvets to let the multicolour trail pattern stand out.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lila Multi without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
