Marlow Forest

Roxam FabricJ0187-15

Marlow Forest shows a fine herringbone woven in a cool, muted forest green with pale slubbed highlights running through the cloth. The effect is tailored and subtle rather than bold, with the pattern reading clearly from close range and softly from afar.

About this fabric

This Roxam fabric is woven in 60% cotton, 28% viscose and 12% linen, with a width of approximately 140cm and a vertical repeat of 1cm and horizontal repeat of about 3cm. The herringbone structure gives the surface a disciplined, compact rhythm, while the mix of fibres adds a dry, lightly textured finish with a gentle softness in the lighter threads. Marlow Forest has a restrained green tone that sits between sage and deep woodland, lifted by fine pale yarns that stop it feeling flat. It is a versatile cloth with enough structure for upholstery and enough softness for curtains or relaxed soft furnishings.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a smart natural green that feels calm rather than rustic, especially with oak, walnut or brushed brass. It works well in rooms with pale plaster, chalky neutrals and other muted botanical tones.

A crisp small-scale herringbone that feels tailored and easy to live with.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Marlow Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
