Palermo blue

Palermo Fabricpalermo/fa1/den

Palermo Blue is shown here as a deep teal-blue plain with a softly brushed, matte surface. The colour feels cool and saturated, with a slightly moody depth that darkens the image rather than reflecting much light.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, this fabric has a substantial 452 gsm handle and a generous 140 cm usable width, making it a practical choice for both soft furnishing and upholstery projects. The visible surface reads as a fine, lightly mottled texture rather than a flat solid, giving the blue-green tone extra depth and a gently tactile finish. With a 40,000 Martindale rub test and no horizontal or vertical pattern repeat, it is well suited to clean, tailored applications where the colour itself is the focus. Dry clean only and do not iron.

How to use it

Use this deep teal shade on an upholstered armchair or banquette to bring a smart, grounded note to a room. It also makes a strong curtain or blind fabric where its dark, cool blue-green tone can add richness without a pattern.

A rich deep teal that works beautifully across tailored upholstery and elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
