Meddon blue

Misc Fabricmeddon/fa1/oce

Meddon Blue has a cool teal ground threaded with a pale leaf-like pattern that feels lively but controlled. The woven texture gives the design a crisp, tactile presence with gentle tonal variation across the surface.

About this fabric

Woven in a 44% cotton, 37% polyester and 19% acrylic blend, Meddon Blue combines a substantial 370gsm handle with a practical 50,000 Martindale rub test and is suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery. The colourway reads as a muted teal-blue, lifted by an ivory cream motif that sits clearly on the surface without looking stark. Its tight weave and slightly nubbly texture add definition to the repeated botanical-inspired forms, while the finished effect stays fresh rather than overly saturated. It is dry clean only and iron safe, making it a polished choice for rooms that need both texture and durability.

How to use it

Use Meddon Blue on an accent chair, a Roman blind or tailored curtains where the cool teal ground can balance natural timber and pale paintwork. The cream pattern works especially well with linen, oak and soft grey finishes for a calm, considered scheme.

Pair with chalky neutrals or pale oak to let the softened teal ground and cream motif breathe.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
