Selkirk purple

Selkirk Fabricselkirk/fa1/ame

Selkirk Purple shows a tight woven check with a soft, heathered surface and a lively purple tone. The small-scale pattern gives the cloth a textured, tailored look rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

This Selkirk colourway has a mauve-purple ground lifted by pale lilac highlights, creating a dappled finish that feels rich but not glossy. The close weave gives the surface a tactile, slightly nubby appearance, and the repeated small check keeps the design crisp across the width. At 315gsm, with a composition of 44% polyester, 40% cotton and 16% acrylic, it has the substance suited to curtains, blinds and upholstery. A Martindale rating of 20,000 makes it practical for everyday seating as well as soft furnishings, while the 140cm width and 0 pattern repeat make matching straightforward.

How to use it

Use this purple on an accent chair, bench cushion or relaxed full-length curtains where the woven texture can be seen. Its cool mauve notes pair neatly with pale oak, chalky neutrals and deep green accents.

A smart woven purple that works well on tailored curtains or compact upholstery pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
