Figgardens purple
Springsolstice Fabricfgarden/fa1/cre
Figgardens Purple shows a painterly trail of figs, leaves and curling stems on a pale ground. The plum fruit and soft green foliage give the print a calm, garden-grown character.

About this fabric
This fabric is woven in 95% cotton and 5% flax linen, giving the cloth a natural handle with a lightly textured surface that suits both furnishings and window treatments. The large horizontal repeat of 34.25cm and vertical repeat of 48.35cm allow the fig branches, fruit and leaf clusters to spread out across the cloth in an easy, decorative rhythm. In this purple colourway, the figs read as a mellow plum and mauve rather than a bright violet, while the surrounding leaves stay fresh and silvery green against the warm cream background. The result is gentle and botanical, with enough presence to make a statement without feeling heavy. It is dry clean only and iron safe.
How to use it
Use it where you want the purple fruit tones to soften a room, such as relaxed curtains, a feature armchair or occasional cushions. It pairs particularly well with painted wood, pale timber and muted greens that echo the leaf tones.
A painterly fig-and-vine print that brings a soft country-house feel to upholstery or curtains.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Figgardens purple without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
