Colyford purple
Tiverton Fabriccolyfve/fa1/gra
Colyford Purple has a soft ivory ground lifted with painterly lilac, indigo and teal foliage and a central bird motif. The palette feels fresh rather than dark, with the purple notes appearing airy and watercolour-soft.

About this fabric
Woven in 60% cotton and 40% viscose, this fabric has a substantial 467gsm handle and a crisp printed appearance that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The design shows a large-scale tropical bird and leaf pattern, with purple used as a cool accent rather than an all-over block, so the colourway reads light and layered. Indigo shadows, pale lavender fronds and muted sage greens sit against the pale ground, giving the surface a breezy, decorative finish. With a Martindale of 60,000, it has the durability expected for a fabric that can work beyond purely decorative use, while remaining dry clean only and do not iron.
How to use it
Use this colourway where you want pattern without heaviness: it works beautifully on full-length curtains, relaxed blinds or cushion covers against painted whites and soft greys. The lilac and teal accents pair well with pale timber, brushed brass and other cool-toned textiles.
The cool lilac ground and painterly foliage make this a refined statement for drapery or soft furnishings.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Colyford purple without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
