Seaweed blue

Seaweed Blue from Voyage Maison’s Riviera collection is a bright, painterly botanical on a soft ivory ground. The design reads airy and coastal, with translucent blue fronds lifted by coral, teal and warm ochre touches.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton and sold as a fabric with a usable width of 136cm, this colourway is suited to curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The cloth has a relaxed midweight handle at 230gsm, with a cool iron finish and dry-clean-only care. Its large 68cm horizontal and 78.8cm vertical repeat suits statement drapery or feature cushions where the full, floating motif can breathe. In this Seaweed Blue version, the palette feels fresher and cooler than earthy, with watery blues and pale aqua strokes punctuated by small coral and gold notes.

How to use it

Use it in a light-filled room with bleached timber, chalky paint and simple upholstery to keep the palette coastal and open. It also works well as accent cushions against plain linen or soft blue walls, where the painterly pattern can do the talking.

Pair with pale woods and crisp linens to let the airy blue ground and painterly coral highlights shine.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
