Seaurchin blue

Riviera Fabricseaurch/fa1/kel

Seaurchin Blue shows a playful scatter of shell-like circles in cool sea-glass blues, teals and soft aquas on a clean white ground. The effect is fresh and coastal, with each motif giving the fabric a lively, hand-painted feel.

About this fabric

Printed on 100% cotton, this colourway has a crisp, breathable handle and a soft matte surface that suits curtains, blinds and relaxed soft furnishings. The usable width is 136cm, with a 45.33cm horizontal repeat and 26.5cm vertical repeat, so the rounded shell motif reads clearly across the cloth. In Seaurchin Blue, the palette shifts between pale aqua, aqua-green, mineral blue and occasional slate-grey accents, which keeps the design feeling cool rather than sugary. The white background gives the pattern room to breathe and makes the blue tones look brighter and more luminous. Dry clean only; cool iron.

How to use it

This colourway works well in rooms that want a fresh coastal note without becoming too bright, especially against white-painted joinery or pale oak. Pair it with linen textures, sandy neutrals and washed blues to echo the watery tones in the print.

Use with pale woods and chalky neutrals to let the cool sea-glass tones stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
