Grease Indigo

Grease Fabric

Grease in Indigo has a cool, dark blue ground lifted by fine tan-toned linework, giving the pattern a crisp, almost etched look.

About this fabric

This upholstery fabric is woven in 45% viscose, 35% polyester and 20% cotton, with a generous 137 cm width and a 50,000 Martindale rub test. The Indigo colourway reads as a deep, muted blue with a charcoal cast, so the small geometric pattern sits quietly into the ground rather than shouting. Pale beige threads sketch the repeating motif with a slightly lustrous finish, which catches the light and brings the design into focus. With a horizontal repeat of 17.5 cm and vertical repeat of 22 cm, it has a steady, measured rhythm that suits tailored seating and structured accent pieces.

How to use it

Use this dark indigo on an armchair or banquette where the graphic weave can be seen close up. It works well with oak, brass and natural linens, which soften the cool depth of the blue.

Pair with warm timber and plain upholstery to let the graphic weave take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
