Siam Fabric

Siam Ink shows a dense, mosaic-like pattern set against a deep ink-blue ground. The mix of soft blue-grey, beige and taupe motifs gives it a layered, collected feel.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Siam Ink is a hardwearing fabric with a 60,000+ Martindale rub test and a usable 137 cm width, making it suitable for both upholstery and curtaining. The pattern repeat is a substantial H68.5 x V68.5 cm, which suits the lively, all-over design visible in the swatch. In this colourway, the ground reads as a dark ink navy rather than a bright blue, so the lighter motifs stand out with a muted, chalky contrast. The small geometric shapes, stylised leaves and totem-like forms feel intricate and structured, with the overall effect softened by the weathered, slightly antique look of the print.

How to use it

Use Siam Ink on a statement chair, bench or curtains where the deep blue ground can anchor the scheme. It works especially well with warm woods, pale plaster tones and brass accents, which pick up the beige and taupe details in the pattern.

A richly patterned ink-blue fabric that adds character without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
