About this fabric

This colourway reads as an inky navy-blue with a restrained charcoal cast, creating a calm, enveloping mood rather than a bright or saturated blue. The surface is plain and closely woven, with fine vertical and horizontal threads forming a subtle crosshatched texture. Slight tonal variation across the face keeps the dark shade from looking flat, while the low-key texture remains refined and unobtrusive. The substantial-looking woven appearance makes it especially well suited to upholstery and statement seating.

How to use it

Pair Night Shadow with pale oak, warm ivory or brushed metal to balance its cool depth. It also works as a grounding blue on a contemporary armchair, headboard or sofa where the fine weave can be seen at close range.

Use this deep blue woven texture to bring quiet depth to contemporary upholstery and statement seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
