Grease Vine

Grease Fabric

Grease Vine in Olive has a subdued, earthy green ground with a darker overlaid vine-like geometric pattern. The surface reads textural and tailored, with a softly broken finish that catches the light in fine specks.

About this fabric

This upholstery fabric is woven in a 45% viscose, 35% polyester and 20% cotton blend, giving the pattern a crisp but slightly softened surface. The olive tone is muted and mossy rather than bright, while the darker motif settles into the cloth for a low-contrast, layered look. At 137 cm wide and with a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is well suited to hardworking seating as well as occasional decorative pieces. The repeating pattern, with a 17.5 cm horizontal and 22 cm vertical repeat, creates a measured geometric rhythm that feels smart and structured.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, banquette or ottoman where the olive ground can bring depth without overwhelming the room. It pairs well with walnut, tan leather and aged brass for a grounded, contemporary scheme.

Pair with warm timber and deep neutrals to let the textured olive pattern feel refined rather than rustic.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
