Buteo Emerald

Gustav FabricJ0212-03

Buteo Emerald is a richly textured green fabric with a small, all-over woven surface that gives the colour real depth. The emerald tone reads smart and grounded, with darker shadowing through the weave and lighter flecks that lift the surface.

About this fabric

From Jane Churchill’s Gustav collection, Buteo Emerald is woven in a practical blend of 55% viscose, 33% polyester, 8% cotton and 4% linen. The fabric is approximately 138cm wide, with a repeat of V 7cm / H 6cm approx, giving the design a compact, structured rhythm across the cloth. Visually, the colour sits between forest and emerald, with a cool green base and subtle olive undertones that stop it feeling too bright. The small-scale texture creates a mottled, almost tweedy effect that adds depth and helps the darker tones settle beautifully in the weave.

How to use it

Use Buteo Emerald to bring a confident accent to armchairs, headboards or dining seating, where its saturated green will read crisp against timber and brass. It also works well for lined curtains or Roman blinds if you want a tailored look with a colour that feels both rich and controlled.

A rich green with enough texture for tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
