Emile Spruce

Emile II FabricJ896F-59

Emile Spruce is a very dark green plain weave with a quietly tailored feel and a soft, low-key surface. The colour sits close to black in shade, but the green note emerges at the lighter edges.

About this fabric

This Emile II fabric is composed of 50% Cotton and 50% Polyester and comes in an approximate width of 140cm, with vertical and horizontal repeat both at 0cm approx. In Spruce, the cloth reads as a deep, cool green with an almost forest-black depth, giving the swatch a restrained, refined look rather than a bright decorative one. The surface has a fine woven texture that catches the light just enough to show a gentle tonal shift across the colour. With no repeat to match, it lends itself to clean upholstery schemes or simple window treatments where the colour itself is the main feature.

How to use it

Use this spruce green to ground lighter rooms with oak, linen and brass, or pair it with charcoal and off-white for a sharper scheme. Its dark, muted tone works especially well on tailored seating and relaxed curtains where a strong, quiet colour is wanted.

A rich dark green with a subtle woven finish, ideal for tailored upholstery or lined drapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
