About this fabric

This Emile II colourway is a plain textile with no visible repeat, so the interest comes from the subtle, even surface and the way the weave softens the light. The 50% cotton, 50% polyester composition gives it a balanced, practical handle, while the 140cm approximate width makes it useful for a wide range of interiors. Sky Blue appears here as a muted blue-grey, neither icy nor vivid, which gives the fabric an easy, relaxed character. With no performance features noted, it reads as a straightforward decorative fabric for schemes that want colour without pattern.

How to use it

Use it where a cooler, quieter blue is needed to freshen timber, limestone and off-white walls. It works especially well in rooms that need a gentle colour wash rather than a statement pattern.

A calm blue-grey plain that layers easily with oak, linen and chalky neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
