Honister blue
Countryimpressions Fabrichoniste/fa1/tea
Honister Blue shows a painterly fern design in washed blue, sage and soft green tones over a pale misty ground. The overall effect is airy and organic, with the layered foliage giving the cloth a gentle sense of movement.

About this fabric
Woven in a 95% cotton, 5% linen blend and weighing 230gsm, this fabric has enough substance for soft furnishings while still sitting comfortably in the drapery category. The usable width is 140cm, with a 70cm horizontal repeat and 95cm vertical repeat, so the tall fern motifs can be placed to good effect across curtains or blinds. The colourway reads as cool and softly muted, with blue leaves appearing alongside sage, eucalyptus and grey-green accents on a pale, slightly cloudy background. Cool Iron and Dry Clean Only care instructions help preserve the crispness of the print and the character of the cloth.
How to use it
Use Honister Blue in relaxed country rooms where you want colour without heaviness, especially alongside washed wood, linen upholstery and stone tones. It is a good choice for statement curtains, Roman blinds or cushions that need a fresh botanical note.
Pair with pale oak, chalky neutrals and leafy houseplants for a fresh, airy look.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Honister blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
