Langdale blue

Countryimpressions Fabriclangdal/fa1/tea

Langdale Blue is a softly washed floral with an airy aqua-blue ground and painterly meadow details. The layered blooms and stems feel light and watercolour-like, giving the fabric a fresh country character.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough body for soft furnishings while still suiting curtains and blinds beautifully. The visible design is a large-scale floral with frilled flower heads, slender stems and small botanical accents set against a cloudy blue ground. Its colour reads as a muted aqua with pale grey undertones, so the pattern feels cool and slightly diffused rather than bright. The 138cm usable width and 46cm horizontal by 62cm vertical repeat make it practical for statement window treatments and generous covered pieces. Dry clean only; cool iron.

How to use it

Use Langdale Blue where you want a calm, breezy lift rather than a bold colour hit: it works especially well with oatmeal, driftwood and faded sage. The cool blue ground softens larger rooms and gives smaller spaces a relaxed, daylight feel.

Pair with pale timber, chalk whites and brushed brass for a fresh country feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
