Flourish purple

Countryimpressions Fabricflouris/fa1/tea

Flourish Purple shows a watercolor garden of hydrangea-like blooms, ferny leaves and soft washes of lilac, mint and blue across the surface. The overall effect is fresh and painterly, with the purple ground giving the design a cool, airy mood.

About this fabric

This Countryimpressions fabric is composed of 95% cotton and 5% linen, with a usable width of 140cm, a 68cm horizontal repeat and an 84.5cm vertical repeat. At 230gsm, it has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still reading as a comfortable mid-weight cloth. In this colourway the purple is muted and misty rather than vivid, softened by pale lilac grounds, blue-green petals and leafy sage accents. The printed surface feels relaxed and decorative, with the larger floral clusters making the pattern feel generous and expressive.

How to use it

Use Flourish Purple where you want colour without heaviness: it suits softly layered curtains, Roman blinds and statement cushions in rooms with pale painted walls. The lilac and mint tones work especially well with oak, chalky whites and brushed brass.

Pair with natural woods and pale linens to let the lilac ground stay airy and fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
